Take Your Alpine Adventure to Great Heights

The Southern Alps of New Zealand’s famed South Island offer a spectacular bird’s-eye view of the entire glacial landscape. From the time you take off in either a helicopter or ski plane, you will be treated to mesmerizing views of the entire area lasting nearly 35 minutes. As you go soaring through the Tasman Valley, you will encounter the Grand Plateau and Plateau Hut, the Hochstetter Icefall, and many other beautiful natural formations. The Aoraki or Mount Cook on the east coast of the South Island and its neighboring Mount Tasman, both towering approximately 3500 meters in the air, are a majestic sight to behold from this vantage point. Also, another highlight of this trip is the renowned Tasman Glacier, New Zealand’s largest glacier that flows southeast from the Southern Alps towards the Mackenzie Basin.

Make a Memorable Landing at the Tasman Glacier

That’s not all, as this experience also includes a landing adventure that will completely blow you away. The flight will stop above the Tasman Glacier, at a height of some 600 meters, so that you can step out and soak in the exceptional snowscape surrounding you. The scenery is akin to a winter wonderland and can best be described as otherworldly!
