Magic of the Cinque Terre: Riomaggiore and Monterosso Tour

Your experience will start with a cruise from La Spezia to Riomaggiore. You will see the beautiful Gulf of Poets, as well as the villages of Fezzano, Cadimare, and Le Grazie. After about 30 minutes, you will reach Riomaggiore, and see the famous terraced landscape of its vineyards. After disembarking from your ship, you will go up to Piazzetta San Giacomo, where you can catch some stunning panoramic views of the area. Immortalized in the works of numerous artists, of which Telemaco Signorini is the most famous, Riomaggiore is a beautiful village, full of narrow streets, stairs, and picturesque buildings. The church of San Giovanni Battista at Riomaggiore is a must-see.

Next up you will take the cruise ship to Monterosso. During the ride, you will see the other seaside villages of Vernazza, Corniglia, and Manarola. Monterosso is the largest of the Cinque Terre villages and is the only one with a beach. As you get off the pier and go into the village,m you will come upon the parish Church of San Giovanni Battista, which is the oldest religious building in Cinque Terre, The facade features bands of alternate colors, with a fine rose window at the top, made of white Carrara marble.
